Im having problems with my 3660 too and almost all i click leads to an error. I had it formatted by a card reader instead. I think if you're lucky u can boot the phone in safe mode holding the pencil key and hope that you'll still be able to do the MMC format. Theres a chance that it will not work. But thats how I was able to back my phone first before doing the internal memory format. Lucky me i had a card reader. Mine was worst than your situation, on booting I had this app closed and system error and the phone goes to fade then shows the nokia logo again then it wont boot at all... 😡
Do the safemode boot and hope for the best. Just keep tryin.
