9210 Browsing and email on GSM 9.6kbps

Hi all,
I am very interested to hear comments on browsing and retrieving and sending emails with 9210 at 9.6kbps.

in india our network supports only this speed & browsing is very slow & expensive, but setting up pop3 email accounts & retrieving them is yet slightly slow but yet worth it, not that slow & takes a few mins only. As fas as browsing the internet, its yet slow & the browser cannot show many sites as yet. It can be faster if u put the "load images" setting off, but yet not recomended for 9.6 speeds, very slow yet.
let me know what u think.

Sending and retrieving mail over 9.6 is feasible if you let the large messages where they are and only read the shorter ones. Browsing the net is a sheer drama.

You can switch of the images, but in a world where everybody seems to make menus based on clickable images this will leave you with a lot less to click on. The Nokia browser itself is not that good either. I only use it in emergencies.

Regards,

NTOO

You shouldn't have any trouble at that speed unless some muppet has decided to make their site with flash or fill it with java. I've not tried out the 9210 yet but I used to use my 6210 with my Thinkpad and that worked well, a lot faster than you'd think it would be, but still best used in emergencies at a long range from a land line to plug into.
