N-Gage QD: How do i copy files via bluetooth to MMC directly

6 replies · 6,116 views · Started 16 July 2004

Everytime i send a file from my computer or from another phone to my N-Gage QD over bluetooth, it shows up in the INBOX (Device Memory) as a new message. So, I cannot copy files that are bigger than the available (free) memory on the device (right?? coz i haven't tried it yet. Once i did, then when the phone memory was full, it started acting up!).

Is there any way i can copy files directly onto my MMC rather than to my phone over bluetooth? Or do i get a Card reader?

I use a card reader...faster and easier that way.

I have this problem too. Found it best to get a card reader, it is much faster to transfer files, and they are cheap.

Ebuyer.com has several and they are good at delivering.

My QD says memory full and no will not witch on. Have you had this problem. There is not enough memoery to boot up.

If you have found a solution, can you email me on [email protected]

Thanks a lot,
Nathan

I think there is a safe mode that you can do, if you hold down a button when you turn on the phone....I know you can do it with the nk6600, that might help if it works for NG or QD.

Or a format of the phone....

I'm not sure for other kinds of files, but for sound files, u open it from your inbox it plays from your recorder, so when u're in recorder, go to options and select save, it'll ask u whether you want to save it in ur device memory or memory card. No prizes for guessing which is the smarter option 😉
