Hi, everyone, I'm new to this forum so I'd like to say hello to all of you people 1st!
I called Nokia H.K. today and check if they can provide me a firmware update or not but their answer make me quite angry. Here is their answer: "Normally you not necessary to update you phone�s firmware because there will be no difference on the performance and function of new and old firmware, sometimes the new firmware even make the phone�s performance become worse or some function will be cut on new firmware!� �But I still want to have a firmware update� I told them. �Unless your phone is proved by our technician that many error occurred because of the old firmware otherwise we will not provide such service��� What a shame!!!! :evil:

Anyway what I may think is you approach to the wrong person. Perhaps perhaps... Maybe you should go straight to Nokia Care Centre on the spot rather than call them up. Normally such call are handled by some untrain "sales" personel.
For your information, there is not news on latest upgrade of firmware as what I know. I have mails from Nokia telling me about that. Please refer to the main page of this portal at http://www.allabouter6.com.

You obviously got somebody who is unhelpful to say the least, I sell phones for a living and I can gurantee that half the phones we send back with faults are fixed free of charge by a simple firmware upgrade. For them to tell you it wont make any difference is crap. Just take it to your nearest nokia service center and they will normall be happy to do it for you.

what do you actually class as a nokia service center ?
Any large Phone retail store ? like the orange shops in teh uk or T mobile specialists ? what about Vodafone stores and the link , Carphonewarehouse ?
