gs error on my general settings

An authorized Nokia service center can reflash your phone (more or less install a new version of the phone's firmware = phone software in ROM, Read Only Memory) to it). Start here to find one: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,42096,00.html

You can also try reformatting it on your own to see if it helps. If you do, all messages, settings, contacts, pictures, etc., will be deleted from the phone; the phone will be in the state it was in when it left the factory (with no personal information left on it). The memory card (MMC) will not be affected.

Charge the phone fully, or have it on AC. On the idle/standby screen, where you'd normally dial a phone number, dial *#7370# and the formatting will start. You will be asked for the phone's lock code, which by default is 12345 (unless you have changed it).

Note: Reflashing will also delete all personal data from the phone.

actually d prob is related 2 "wildskinz" if u hav downloaded dat n den removed it widout switching it off .... all u hav 2 do is reformating the fone using *#7370# ..... but b4 that u must back up all ur phone memory 2 the multi media card ..... then once d fone is bak 2 factory settings u must download "wildskinz" n switch it off n then restore d earlier phone setup frm d memory card .... this way u dont lose any of d msgs contacts etc etc i had d same problem n now itz restored 2 itz full form 😊 😊 😊

The problem happened with me too, does your phone only writes numbers?
Mine was doing that, i formatted the phone with system tools of Psiloc(www.psiloc.com).
Then everything was fine till now..
