isync does not detect my P900

I have a G4 iMac with the latest version of OSX panther (10.3.4). The computer is paired via Bluetooth to the iMac. I am able to exchange files between the two and it works well. What's really baffling is that the isync app on my iMac does not detect the P900. I click on 'add devices' in the isync app and it repeatedly comes up with the same message. misync does pick up my iPod mini and Tungsten T3. Just won't pick up the P900. I tried it on my G4 Powerbook, same problem. Funny thing is that when I was in the USA the P900 was working with the isync (I know it sounds weird).
Could it be the fact that I have a new cell phone carrier that somehow does not allow isync to talk to the P900. I'll take all the help I can get
Thak you all.

No, it's not due to the service providers, it's due to the SE firmware update I suspect. I'm sorry to say but the fact is Sony always try to customize the original OS they are using for their device and then make it a less (or buggy) functional one to ship with their device.

This P900 and OS X issue is the most common problem amongst the Mac users. How ever this forum has got a number of posts regarding this. (You didn't try 😊 did u?)

The post from davet42 is the most useful, I've found so far. Go to http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/22368/&page=2&pp=15 and apply the changes I mentioned followed by davet42's instruction.

Hope it will solve your problems.
Good luck!!!!
