Office software that doesn't require MS Office

I'm considering buying a 6600 and am wondering if there is any Office or even just wordprocessing software available that does not require MS Office to be installed on PC. I use OpenOffice and save my docs in MS Word/Excel format.

I was considering QuickOffice Premier, but it seems that this requires MS Word to be installed. Is there any way around this?

Im not sure how quickoffice requires word to be installed. You just send your .doc files to your phone and they magically work. Also, you can save .doc files on your phone then transfer them to your PC and these should work in openoffice.org.
