game ideas

hi... i'm back. i couldn't be online for a long time because of some health problems.. but i'm ok now...
and during this time i think about some game ideas and i shared with my programming group and we all agreed that we have to program a mobile game. And for this we first think about a rpg game; cause mobile devices a really lack of rpg games. there are some titles on production on ngage... but we think that we have to make something different. and we have started to write some scenarios and build some ideas... nowadays we are collecting everything up and discussing what can be the feathures of the game and what can be the difference for our game. The first think we agreed is the game must be build with the players thougts and needs. so i wanted u to as what are you waiting from a game and what are your expectations? this is really important for us. we really want to make a great game for gamers which can be played for a really long time and covers most of the mobile gamers needs.
if you help us we will be really glad.
thanks for your support...

I'd like to see something like fallout with a post-apocalypse theme and weird characters(Monty Payton featured in fallout 2).

A RPG sounds like a great idea. Id like to see a traditional turn based one, as opposed to the D20 based RPGs that are the rage now. Give me huge summons, ultra-hard bosses, monstrous magicks, and random battles anyday. All those are a must.

Id also like to see a way to incorporate friends into the battle system. Example, if you have a friend who has the game also, and has a kick-ass character, he would be able to guest-star in a battle for you. He would control his character on his screen, and you would control your character on yours, against some huge evil boss via Bluetooth. MUHAHAHAHA the possibilities!!!!!

Oh, and downloadable content would be cool too. Release a new dungeon a week or so, to keep people interested and satiated.

Or something like turn-based RPG/strategy would be nice too, eg Odium or Fallout Tactics for PC or Tactics Ogre for GBA.

I personally would like to see a mysterious character in there too, someone who's in the grey area, can't tell if he's good or bad 😉 does things his way, but invariably helps your cause 😃 the kind who's not crucial to the storyline, yet the story's not complete without em ;D eg Vincent Valentine or Sephiroth in FF7 *drool*

I dont know if this is possible but how about the option of hooking into the phones mp3 system so as to have your own music instead of the usual crap.

How're u gonna do that? Unless the game doesn't come on a MMC on its own, then its possible to download the game into an MMC card big enough to fit both the MP3s and the game data files. But yeah that sounds like a good idea.

True. But i assumed it was going to be a series60 game as opposed to a ngage only game thus not needing a mmc.

how about Beavis and Butt , South Parth RPGs..? I know they are PUNKs, but we still like them, don't we? (sheeeeeeee) , Simple graphics makes it easier and cheaper to develop...it's about making-the-story.

As I recall, Capcom is on the N-gage side now ( for me , Its like dreams come true). hopefully, we want to see Breath of Fire series on N-gage.It's a perfect combination of 2D and 3D in game presentation.

so here, I want to see a game about musics also in RPG format : controll a guy walking around towns ( like the sims : busting out ), you compose musics, learn about musics, finding your cyber bandmates via Arena, also giving out mid night concerts, big rock show...you set the schedule for your band or team to the musician all over the world...it's about it and do it all on Arena.

rpgs will be cool.

but i was wondering how come a game like digimon hasnt come out yet.( its a electronic toy where by u feed and groom a creature whom u can use to fight with other ppl with the same toy) whats more series 60 phones have BT and stuff, it should be fun.

first of all thanks for all the replies... it's really important for us.
today we had a meeting with my programming group members; and we talked about some ideas. and i wanted to share some of them with u; so u can comment on them.
but first i wanna reply some of your messages.

Thanx GhostDog. Thats what we all have in mind. We want to build a cyberpunk based world. We have 3 possible scenarios; and the one we most agreed is a futuristic story.

This time we are thinking about a futuristic story. But if u want ultra-hard bosses; believe you're gonna get some😊 The theme won't let monstrous magics; but we have some thougths that you will love.

Character building is next step of our schedule with story building. We will keep in touch with that.

I think u want stg lile GTA Vice City does in PC. You got an option of creating ur songlist and listen to it while driving by openin MP3 Radio... But this option is now can be operational for PC only. If u played PS2 version u don't have any kind of feathure. Maybe in future but as Dr@n|xX said now possible now...sorry.

That's a great idea. It haven't been done and it can be great. But our ideas is not stg like sims. In the game there will be a learning mechanism but not like sims...

And now i want to share some ideas...
+ First of all we want to make the ai as clever as we can do and hardware lets us. + We want to make possible implants on player characters. We wanna make players can turn their characters into cyborgs. But being a cyborg will not make everything easier. Some other things will be worse.. for example charisma; sociality...
+ We want players trade items with other characters via bluetooth connection.
+ We wanna make a good learning mechanism. We will try to let players train their characters.
and many more ideas... these are a little of them. so anything else u have in mind?

Perhaps rather than give a long list of items, you might want to try doing what Diablo did, randomize items based on certain rules eg stun baton of attrition, works like a stun baton but has say 5-10% chance of disabling some of your implants(or if u're a cyborg this weapon'll have double chance of disabling your implants etc); so you could likely have unique items you would want to keep even if you don't use it so u can sell or give to your friends. Perhaps an "add-on" to that idea would be the set items, eg a bio-alloy set consisting of a visor, wristbands, ear implants & gloves, that way u're encouraged to look around and know more people hoping to find someone who has the item that'll complete your set and bestow wonderful perks to your character. =)

Not sure if this is possible, but i think to be "fair", a character should earn more exp when completing quests rather than from fighting random battles, that'll at least encourage people like me who prefer not to have too many random battles to get on with the game 😉 it'll also leave the possibility open (if possible), that you could get friends along to do a quest that would've been otherwise suicidal for your character to do alone and earn enough experience u'd go crazy allocating points to your character =D

Hope these ideas are useful drager 😉

and we are thinking a system without experience points... we want to use more skill levels; but not gaining by just killing enemies; a much more complex system... i'll make u aware of the new thougths..

MMC wrote:Sounds good , Drager. Did you guys ever thought of MMORPG??

MMORPG is always a main issue on our minds; it is a really big issue. For MMORPG we have some other plans; for near future. Something different, and something has not been tried yet. I hope in a very very close time we can finish our current project and we can start building this world that we were thinking for a long time.

Online (N-Gage Arena) features, lots of them. I'm sick of just shadow racing! We need some online (N-Gage Arena) features that are original, innovative, useful and above all, fun...
