Strange doom issue on ngage

Hi all,

Ive done a forum search at it doesnt seem like anyone else has had this problem so i thought id see if you can help me. I got a nokia ngage yesterday and im very happy with it (i now have a 6600 and an ngage) , I installed doom correctly and everything but it has a strange issue. 1 out of every 5 times it will work PERFECTLY. I can play the game the sound works everything is fine. If i then close the game and then decide to play later, i get the error:

App. Closed EDOOMEXE

Now this keeps happening every time i start the game, unless i wait a little while start it up again, then it works fine.

Also every time i quit the game and start doing something else, about 15 seconds later i get the message :

App. Closed mediaserver

I have a feeling these issues are interconnected and was hoping someone had resolved a similar issue.

The game works fine on the 6600 but it has no sound no matter what i do, and on ngage sounds work but i have this problem ... ARGH!! 😃

Can anyone help me??
The game i installed to get sound to work was meltdown

Any ideas?

lol 54 views and no one has any idea?? :frown:

Some extra info, once doom was installed that app closed mediaserver error kept coming up after i finished any game at all. So i deleted all doom related files and its fine again. I also had to turn the phone on and off before it stopped completely. Very odd, something to do with wildpalms sound drivers i think,, might try installing it with no sound and see if it works.

Wirelessly posted (Nokia N-Gage: NokiaN-Gage/1.0 (4.03) SymbianOS/6.1 Series60/0.9 Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0)

Or you could buy Ashen, a "first-person shooter" made EXCLUSIVELY for the N-Gage that is bug-free...
