Hi, I just wanted to know if the Ngage QD is selling well or if it has done just as badly as its predecessor because I was thinking about investing in one (I already have the original Ngage) but if it is soon to be unsupported I do not see the point.Thanks. 😊
Ngage sales progress report

? What do you mean by "unsupported"? The original and the QD are perfectly compatible. Any game released will work exactly the same on both devices.
I don't think the QD can be doing too well. The only place I have seen it on the high street is in the Link. It was on the Carphone Warehouse coming soon list but now seems to have disappeared from their website altogether.

Unfortunately, due to the failure of the original N-Gage, many stores are refusing to stock the new N-Gage QD! In other words, EVEN if the N-Gage QD IS a decent phone, it may never take off solely based on the fact that so few places are stocking it! If Nokia want the N-Gage platform to take off, they need to set-up partnerships with retail stores so that N-Gage stuff is more widely available...
Hi. i work for a company called Gamestation and we do sell the N-Gage QD and i think to date we have sold 30 QDs so far since it came out which i think is pretty good since first 1 never really took off.
Not too sure if Nokia had launch expos in your countries, but Nokia did a HUGE N-Gage launch here in Singapore and had full sized newspaper ads about it a month before the thing, and publicized trade-in deals such as trading in any old console to get up to S$100 off the retail price of the QD. Lots of people on one hand had the fat old Gameboy or the out-dated Gameboy Color or Sony Playstation 1 to dispose of, on the other hand the deal made the phone very sweet, plus the big hoo-hah of the launch got everyone excited, so i'd say the QD's doing pretty ok here in Singapore.
I happen to know the boss of this small-time game retailer near my home and he told me he ordered 30 N-gages, every single one was snapped up within a month of the launch. I must stress that he's a small-timer, and only the people living at most 5 blocks around the area know of this shop, so selling 30 in a month sounds like he's doing pretty well on N-gage sales to me.

I can't remember exactly which one, but it was one of the Asian countries (if I remember correctly, it was either Singapore or Hong Kong...) that the original N-Gage did best in, so it's no surprise that the N-Gage QD is doing well there. In most western countries though, the original N-Gage didn't do very well, which is why there is so little support for the new N-Gage QD in the western world....

The original N-Gage? Unlikely to be Singapore then... coz the original N-Gage was a complete fuzz here... maybe it's Hong Kong then, since alot of Hong Kong phone accessory websites have lots of accessories for the original N-Gage, but strangely not much for the QD...
