Bluetooth tech question

I'm considering upgrading my 7650 to a 7610.
One of the biggest disappointments about the 7650 was the lack of the Bluetooth Audio Profile, thus preventing the use of bluetooth headsets and car kits.

On reading various reviews I note that the 7610 supports the bluetooth "hands free" profile, but not the "headset" profile.

Can someone please clarify what the differences are between these profiles and what implications they have?

Thanks,

To answer my own question, I've eventually discovered the facts that I was looking for (if anyone's even interested!).

For those that are, here's the difference between the two profiles: -

HS Headset Profile
This is the profile that connects a headset to a phone. Note that this is not the same profile as used for a hands-free car kit. The Headset profile is about earpiece and microphone, and assumes that you will dial by pressing buttons on the phone itself.

HFP Handsfree Profile
In addition to carrying voice, the handsfree profile also provides facilities for voice dialling, phone book management and is primarily used for handsfree car kits.

Taken from here

Hope that's of use.
