Here is a review of the 7700. It's in Norwegian and I can't be bothered to translate the whole thing, but it has lots of high quality pictures, and it's really interesting to see how the new Series 90 UI looks and works.
As you all know the 7700 has been cancelled, but we should see devices using Series 90 next year.
According to the reviewer, it wasn't very stable. Especially the start up process was buggy, and could take as long as 5 minutes to fully boot. Some applications wasn't working properly either, like the new Visual Radio application. But the test subject was of course a prototype, so these things are likely to change in the next Series 90 powered device. The HWR (Hand Writing Recognition) worked very well according to the reviewer though.
Another thing from the review that was a bit disappointing to read was that Opera's Small-Screen Rendering (fit to screen rendering/only vertical scrolling) didn't really render/format the internet pages like we're used to from Opera on other devices. Apparently when Opera was set in this mode it would simply zoom out on the page, making the text on some pages almost impossible to read. But the reviewer still found internet browsing on the 7700 to be the best yet on any mobile. And as the screen resolution used in S90 is 640x320, horizontal scrolling would be minimal anyway, on most sites.
I must say this review has got me excited about future S90 phones. I really like the look of the new UI. I just hope they will release one with WLAN (Wi-Fi), since it seems to be almost the perfect mobile device for that kind of use. Preferably in a clam shell/Communicator form factor.
