Hi **cisco** welcome to the forums. Have you made sure that your ringtone you want to have is stored in the digital folder in the sounds folder .Have a look at this tread http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/25448/ .Hope this helps

thanks Gadget I'm gonna give it a try. I actually took it back to t-mobile today and traded it in for a new one. I was getting an "App. Closed message" periodically.. but in regards to the previous thread, does it matter if its in the digital sounds location on the MMC or in the phone memory.. I placed it in the MMC memory hoping to prevent any further problems.. anyhow, I haven't experienced any problems yet with this phone.. thank you very much for taking the time to help me.
it doesnt matter which memory you store it on .
Glad youve got it sorted .

Gadget!! I'm getting kinda frustrated already.. its happening again.. actually I took your advice and placed the tones in the digital section! thats when it started to act up again.. when I removed them and placed it in the "sound clips" folder under the MMC it returned to the normal function.. the thing is, its starting to act up again my friend... after the file plays for a bout a second, the stupid t-mobile jingle starts to override it and continues with the t-mobile ringtone.. any ideas...
my 6600 is on tmobile and i havnt had this problem , all my downloaded ringtones and sounds are stored in sound clips , digital sounds on the mmc ,perhaps someone else could help. What kind of ringtone is it ie. wav. or midi file ect .
