with hard reset and backup you could experiment with evrything in your ipaq. but is this common to all devices, especially with the series 60 phones?

Its only possible to format the phone with all the 3rd party programs needing to be reinstalled.

thanks man! now i guess i could start experimenting on my fone. i was afraid that if something goes wrong with my installations i could never revert back to the basic rom programs. that's just what i mean about hard reset, as against a simple reset or reboot.

i learned that somehow the flash rom in the 3660 isn't flashable at all. is it at all true?
