Can't read MMC card... HELP!

2 replies · 8,526 views · Started 24 July 2004

G'Day

I use a "Belkin" MMC writer/reader to transfer files etc between MMC and my new 6600.
I just purchased a new MMC card (128MB), but I cannot write to it... comes up with error:

"Cannot copy <file>. Cannot find the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name."

Why is this happening??

I retried with the original 32MB MMC that came with my phone, and it worked fine??

My "phone" recognises the 128MB MMC card, it says that it is empty. I have even copied files to the MMC and still can't be seen on pc.

The pc recognises that it has been connected but I just cannot access the card to read or write to it... strange!!

What do I do, could the card not be compatible with the writer/reader??

These 128MB MMC's are not cheap!!

Help would be gratefully appreciated.

Peace out.

hi, if possible I would recommend that you return the card and get another one almost exactly the same thing happened to me 😡 . (When I returned it and got a new one it worked perfectly 😊 and it was the exact same type of card as the broken one, it may be a card damaged when it was maded.)

Yes I will take it back to the shop, but, as I said, the weird thing is that my 6600 can read and write to it with no problems???
