No advertising, no product availability, official rejection by almost all phone and video game stores (including the biggies)... As good as it is, the N-Gage platform doesn't have a chance! According to my Nokia Reps, Nokia REALLY, REALLY want the N-Gage platform to take off, but it's NEVER going to happen if Nokia don't start advertising and organising resellers...

To give you an idea of just how bad it is, listen to this... I live in a major Australian city and there is only ONE store that has the N-Gage and the N-Gage QD regularly in stock! To rub it in, almost ALL phone and video game stores refuse to order anything N-Gage-related in, even with a deposit! Finally, we have only TWO stores that regularly stock N-Gage game MMCs; one only stocks the most popular games and the other only has what's in-store, refusing to order anymore games unless the N-Gage platform becomes bigger... Oh yeah, the ONLY place the N-Gage is advertised in Australia is on a couple of posters at one of the stores above!

Here in Mexico we don't even have a place where we can get N-Gage MMC Games... that speaks of how well distributed the N-Gage games are here...

Exactly my point! And they (Nokia) wonder why there is so much piracy and why the N-Gage platform is doing so badly...

Well sometimes corporate decisions can really baffle us outsiders. But i think Nokia's concentrating on areas where they think the N-Gage will sell, and they're also probably waiting for the release of Pathway to Glory (which i think they believe will make or break the N-Gage's future) to properly launch the N-Gage and QD in other countries.

So, those "best selling areas" must be the ones included in the section "Where can i get N-Gage" of the Nokia N-Gage's web page aren't them?? Well, they have a section for Mexico, and even they "indicate" the stores who supposedly sell hardware and software... but... they don't sell anything N-Gage related but the consoles/phones.

I must add that Mexico (the whole country) is in words of Nokia one year ago "One of the countries that makes our market basis" (here you see almost every person with a Nokia).

So, as you can see, this is one of the "best selling areas" (UK, Spain, and Brazil too) and therte is no place to get a MMC game...

it's different from what I am experiencing here in HongKong. Just near my school, there are about 3 or more phone service providers putting out N-gage QD tester stands ~ One day, I was trying out the QD there, one salesperson was so ethusiastic to explain to me like the N-gage never dies... Don't even mention Nokia centers, they are booming over there..( and chicks are pretty and the services are great!!).

Australian I am told, is one of Nokia's strongest supporters in the world, with well over 80% of mobile phone users opting for Nokia hardware! So again, I doubt Nokia are trying to focus on "strong" areas, which leaves it down to just some strange corporate decisions...

Like Mexico, Nokia phones are on almost every hip in Australia... Getting back to the subject though, maybe Nokia are waiting on Pocket Kingdon: Own the World, because not only will that be a world first (it'll be the world's first massively multiplayer MOBILE online role-playing game!), but it's also highly expected that this game will be BIG! I know I'm sitting on the edge-of-my-seat waiting for it...
