Im in a predictament, I dont know whart he deal with this phone is.
Yesterday I left the phone for 4-5hrs, I checked it after say 2hrs of idling, and the screensaver was on, no worries
But when I finally went back a few afters after that check in the middle, it has turned itself off.
I thought that was odd, and maybe it had run out of battery, turned it back on and it had 3 full bars left.
Anyway this morning, after it had been on the charger all night, I pick it up and it turns on then as its turning on, so it has the Nokia Logo there, waiting for the enter your pincode section to pop up.
It turns itself off, all by itself. My hand wa sno where near the power button.
See the one yesterday I thought hrmm maybe I did turn it off, but my hand was no wear near it when it happened this morning.
DOes this mean I should take it back, ive spent so long getting it the way I like it, software wise, I dont want to go get a new one(Its still under the 30 day warranty so I can take it back and get a brand spanking new one)
Any thoughts??
Best suggestion... go grab your warrenty card and head straight to Nokia Care Centre for a replacment NOW!!! 😮
Time is clicking... waste no time my friend
oh but I just got my phone the way I like it 😞
Yeah Definitely, and when you are there maybe you can chat up the tech guy on why this happened ??
Did anyone else have a similar problem, do we all need to be scared now 😉 ??
Hi,
To my understanding, sometimes some phones turn itself of because
the battery is not fitting so good anymore.
When I hvae this problem I place a piece of a business card between the battery and the phone so it would fit more tighter.
But when you have warranty, please go to nokia care center and get it fixed.

i can't see this being software related, I think it's more likely to be a hardware issue, so there is no reason for them to do anything to your software. They will probably just replace the battery connector or maybe a loose connection somewhere. Your phone should come back as you gave it to them 😃
This was a common problem with the 6210.
The phone would turn off at random. On my desk, in my pocket, during a call. Called Orange and they exchanged it under the Orange warranty.
Got it replaced 3 weeks ago, just waiting for my 7650 (tomorrow) after being let down by Club Mobile first time round.
I know it doesn't cure your problem, but it may help when you go to get it sorted.

One of my friends back in greeece had a similar problem with his 3310! The strangre this is that i once borowed his phone for a month or two becasue I had my 8210 for repairing! He told me that it does not work and that i goes off whenever it wished. When I arrived in the UK, nothing! It worked like new! So I figure it depends on the network and on the firmware! They might not me compatible! And then again I may be wrong!
I have had similar problems with my previous ericssons, A1018, T20s, A3618 all of them.. and this usually happens after I have dropped the phone a few times... Could be hardware issues I guess.. and it only kept getting more frequent as I went along... (the A3618 I dropped into pail of water.. and the t20s I dropped into a shallow well 😊).
I am taking no chances with the 7650.. Been protecting it like my child... I dont even drop it onto my bed 😊
i did encounter the same problem on a new unit but manage to fix it myself. I found out that it was due the over sensitive on/off button. I had it removed and put it back again. Problem solved. As for your unit, do a check on the button by pressing it slightly.
Yeah they said it was a common problem, its because the battery and phonme arent interfacing properly, so the phone isnt getting the full charge from the battery and rather then casuing the phone any damage, it flicks itself off like a short cirtcuit controller.
But yeah they gave me a brand spanking new one 😊
Its good the one I originally got, they had actually opned it up and used it in store, they gave it too me cheaper and there was nothing wrong with it, but it was the last one left in store, so they wer eusing it to get to know how it works. Anyhow when I got it home I remmeber I only had like under 3000kb of space left, because I only ever had room for 45 pictures left.
On my new one I got 3800kb space left, and I can take 96 Standard Pictures still 😊
So im very happy with this 😊
