Hello Everyone,
I just brought my N-Gage QD 2 days ago and installed both mp3go and ultramp3. Though I installed the programs correctly, I am having problems putting the music on my 128mb mmc card. I used a universal memory card reader/writer to put the sis files on the card, but when I dragged and dropped some of windows media player songs on the card then put it back in the QD, they don't even show on the screen. What should I do to put music on my QD.
Can't get music on my N-Gage QD

Congratulations on getting your QD, I just got mine a few days ago also. Here we go:
1. Uninstall those programs for now.
2. Make sure your music files are MP3s. Windows media songs can be .wav and other crap.
3. Try putting the songs in the root of the MMC (E:/).
4. Download FExplorer. Its a file explorer like the one on Windows. When you get it installed, open it, go to E:/ (your MMC) and click the file. Should play in the Voice Recorder app. If all that works ok, then try getting some MP3 software.
Let me know what happens. 😉
You don't need to put the files in root. You can organize them into folders and subfolders as well. I think your problem is the file type. It MUST be mp3 (it can be .ogg if you install oggplayer).
You must remember to do a search for songs with the player to let it know where are the files too.
Enjoy your QD. 😊
Thanks Randomrage and Richie. Both of your replies were mad helpful. You guys were right. The QD does not read wav files, but when i put in mp3 files, it worked just fine. I'm enjoying my new N-gage. It's the best phone I have ever had 😊 . Hope you are enjoying your new N-gage also Randomrage.

Glad I could help. I just got Picodrive up and running, and I have Gunstar Heroes, Shinobi 3, Sonic 2, and Sonic 3 already. And I havent even had the chance to start on Tony Hawk yet. 😃
Now Im looking forward to waiting in lines, or sitting in the movie theatre before the film starts. 😉

Sounds good 😃 . I have one more question though! How exactly do I set my mp3's as ringtones. Do I need any special programs or anything. Thanks.
N-gage QD can't use mp3s as ringtones. You need to convert your mp3s to .wav or .amr

How exactly do you do this?
