Funny you should say that. I also have an Orange email account and get a whole load of crap sent to it. I have thus abandoned Orange as the volume of junk is unmanagable. Orange is *extremely* unreliable anyhow.
As to the question, no there isn't a way to filter with the native s/w. Not sure about 3rd party s/w though.
(Fingers crossed for the P910?)

what account do you use instead. i had a right hassle trying to use a mixture of providers before. was it easy to alter the account setup on your phone?

I use a Boltblue account instead. The problem with that is BoltBlue will not let me use their SMTP server so I can't send any emails. But I can use their POP3 server so I can recieve emails.
Solution?
I set up an account on my P900 that uses Boltblue's POP3 service and Orange's SMTP service! Now I can send and recieve using my Boltblue account.

Bateman:
still gett loads of crap from my orange account 😞
is it easy to get the login details for a boltblue account?
is it free?
and if so, would you be able to give me the boltblue details? not your accounts bits obviously 😉
do you use it over gprs?

You should just be able to go and register at http://www.boltblue.com/ and click on "register now >>". That will give you your email address.
the pop3 server is pop.boltblue.com along with whatever username/password you set up.
Once you have a new BB account, use the POP3 server in your email client/P900 and use Orange's smtp server along with your Orange username/password and you're away.
You should also check with your ISP as they might have an SMPT server you can use. I just discovered that my ISP does (even though I don't have an email account with them)
Yes I use it over GPRS.

I should also mention that although it is free to register, I was migrated from a previous ISP and so that may or may not make a difference to the pop3 access you will/will not have.
I know that BB seem to have different types of service - i.e. Lite/Premium etc.

cool, that was very easy. thanks Bateman.
