Hi Nutzu,

OK, you CANNOT restore from the SX1 (or probably any other S60 handset) to another one, they are all a little bit different. Don't feel too bad, someone in our office tried this too, to see if it worked or not. Well, it doesn't. I will raise a FAQ for this to our support team, just so no-one else has this problem in the future.

To fix this, power on the handset while holding down the " 5 " key.
It will then ask to "CLEAR all memory ?"
Press the LEFT soft key (tick) to do this or the RIGHT soft key (cross) to cancel.
This will WIPE the handset back to the original settings, so anything you put in will be wiped, and will need to be re-entered, but hey, at least it's going again.

Any games / programs should be reinstalled on the new handset anyway, so they are loaded up OK on the new one. Sync the SX1 with Outlook, then sync Outlook with the Sendo X to get your contacts and calendar back on there.

To everyone else, this is the LAST resort to recover the handset (other than going to a service centre) so be careful to do this only when needed.

plinkykev another problem is the camera,when i try to make pictures the screen it turs purple or green and bouncing to normal after few sec and again to those colors i think is the fw problem, what do u think pinkykev??u guys can fix it with the new fw??

I have had the same experience as Nutzu. When the camera first turns on, bringing up the image, the colors are quite distorted. Also happens after taking a picture and pressing "Continue" to take another picture; as the camera lens is engaged again, the same color distortion occurs. The distortion clears up after about 3-5 seconds and becomes normal.
Hopefully a FW update will correct this.

DUDES ! ik have also some problems with sendo-x

smartmovie don't work, but ok, i see the guys from lonelycatgames are checking it out. Also the mp3 player from lonelycat doesn't work, i just don't get sound !
smartmovie: the second demomovie i can play, but the first hangs and i never get sound.

i think personally it's the sound codec for AMR that's very bad.
wayfinder for example: really horrible what sound quality.

also when somebody calls me they hear me very bad. today my mother called me saying the receiving was horrible: cracks and so on, and i have exactly the same problem at my side: sound when i call somebody is bad !

when i play movies that i converted with the nokia symbian 60 converter the sound also ticks. it's like there is a cracking in the back, can't really explain it.

mp3 is no problem at all ! crisp sound ! this means it HAS TO BE the codec for AMR sound, which also makes the smartmovie go bad.

what is also a problem is the free memory. i mean, come on , 5000kb memory only ? what if we want to play heavy games or use heavy applications?
i heard somebody his adobe won't start because too less memory.
he says i can free some memory by restarting, but the restarting procedure is explained wrongly in the manual.

also a problem i have: gprs connection breaks sometimes. but connecting to the GPRS network costs 0,50 euro so i lost 7� today just reconnecting...
i never had this with my previous phone ! gprs connection is plain bad i think. a lot if times i see the G but sometimes it has a frame on it, sometimes it is outlined when i want to have a connection all the time 😞.

anoter bug: try the foto editor in dutch language: it won't start: big bug !

i had network connection problems also: i was doing wayfinder when it gave a network error and the whole phone jammed on me! I had to take out battery and everything!

the application mobiclip won't even startup: it hangs totally.

i really hope i didn't buy a bad phone 😞. the sendo seemed so cool, let's hope we get a solution soon!

yet another BUG on the sendo.

a lot of apps won't work with a link on the panes !!!!

the lowtek showcase that pinlyev offered here, or the agile messenger and many others

just won't work with a link on the panes.

At the moment, only programs installed to the MAIN memory will be allowed on the panes.
The programs you are trying to do must be installed on memory cards. Is that the case ?

Hi Nutzu,

I'm not sure about the camera problem. I'll talk to some guys tomorrow and let you know.
I hope it is fixed on the upgrade - sounds weird !

that is NOT the case. i haven't received my SD card yet. ordered it, will probably arrive tomorrow.

all my apps are installed on my phone memory.

plinkykev, my camera is just very slow to show true colors. It takes 4-5 seconds sometimes to go from total darkness to almost negative-like coloring to proper color.

Sure enough, SPEEDMAN. It told me not enough memory available to run Fifa 2004. I loaded it onto my mem card but still nothing. Also, after that, I had trouble running PC Connect. It wouldn't recognize the X and connect.

i had the same.
the best thing you can do is delete it manually.

go to menu, tools, appl (the second option)

there you can delete it by selecting it. it's possible that deleting one fifa file clears them all, but i think you have to delete them one by one.

if you want to make free mem you can do 2 things.
1st => install the free and most useful application ever FExplorer. there in the options, you can select tools and then the last option is compress memory.
select that one and it will make some kb's free.

if you want more free, go back to options in fexplorer and select gsm, then restart. restarting will go automatically and after you will have a lot of mem free, almost 5000kb :icon14:

and more bugs:
