i just brought a bluetooth USB adapter n i try to put a game into my 128mb MMC but halfway through it says not enough memory...from tt onwards..whenever i try to open any stuff on my QD like Contacts or Messaging, it will not work n it keep displaying "Contacts:not enough memory to perform operation.delete some data first". i cant delete any thing cause it show the same thing when i try to enter Files Manager

will some1 tell me wats wrong wit my QD?

You may need to reset your QD to the state it came in. I can't recall t.he code. This will wipe out your calendar, contacts, to do list, notes and manuel access point settings. Files on your MMC should not be affected.

Did you send the game over bluetooth via your bluetooth adapters software or via the suite for QD as if you sent it via the bluetooth software then the game is likely to be filling up your internal memory and the file is sitting in your inbox waiting to be deleted, if you sent the game via bluetooth with the Nokia suite and selected the MMC as the directory that the file will be saved in then something went wrong while you were sending it, as you can usually send files bigger than the internal memory to the MMC instantly through the Nokia Suite with no problems. So if you can delete the file from your inbox you should be ok...

If not you'll have to format your phone.

I got the same error from trying to transfer the entire phone memory of my N-gage to my N-gage QD. Try removing your memory card and restart the phone without it. If you still can't access your inbox you should probably just reset your phone. The code is *#7370#. Enter this while in stand by mode.

tanks for all the replys..it help me great lot but abit too late as i already send my ngage for reservice..but still thank alot..

It has happened to me twice so far. Once i just reset it to the original factory settings. This time, I was not so lucky.

I was copying data over bluetooth but not thru the PC Suite. Memory was full. Since i cud neither open anything nor delete any data (the irony is even when u try to delete some data, the phone throws up the same error "not enough memory to perform operation.delete some data first"😉. I thot i'll switch off the phone and switch it back ON. Strangely, the phone did not turn ON after that. When i tried, the phone wud switch ON with the screen showing NOKIA, no graphics, it wud stay there for about 30 seconds and then switch OFF automatically.

I guess i shud have just reset the phone b4 even thinking of switching it OFF. Anyways, i had to send it to the service center.

Here's my theory of what cud be wrong. I assume (since i dont know much about how the mobile works) that the phone allocates some FREE PHONE MEMORY as "RAM." And NOKIA has not allocated a part of the PHONE MEMORY as strictly dedicated to RAM function. Hence, when u over fill ur PHONE MEMORY, there is no/not enough RAM available, hence the phone begins to act wierd. Hows my theory 😉?

If my theory is correct, then i hope NOKIA does something about it!!!

I'm having this same problem. For those that have reset it with the given code, does that fix the problem?

It would _seem_ that the problem may have started when I did a sync of my contacts to the phone -- and I chose to sync everything, not just numbers or web (I really wanted numbers _and_ web but it wouldn't let me do that).

I just had the same message come up but before I even thought anything was seriously wrong I turned my phone off.......BIG MISTAKE I reckon your theory is right all the way TheMask I can't believe it it's so bloody irritating with that little nokia symbol flashing on and off it's like it's taunting me
