I need to get a cell phone and I want a camera phone with video option. Ive been reading the forum for a couple hours and have learned alot but still need some input from you guys. Should I get this phone or should I go with another? The main reason I like it is the price, its cheap. I never knew phones could have programs added on to them.
The reason I want a camera/video phone is because I dont feel like carrying a camera around with me at all times but there are times when I wanted to capture something and couldnt because I didnt have a camera. So it would be nice to get a phone with one.
The thing I dont know about is how the phone works with your plan. Do I have to get a plan to send pictures or can I just get a basic plan and upload the pictures and video to my computer for free? Is that what the IR and BT are for? So would I need to buy a Card for my desktop to support it or is there a USB type cable that will do the job?
I also want to build a badass camera. What should I get to make this phone take the best quality pictures (and a lot of them) and long clear video with sound?
Sorry for all the newb questions but im cell phone illiterate.
Possibly Getting a 3660
To send the pictures and the videos to the pc, you have to buy a BT or Ird adapter to your pc. Then you just select the image(s) you want to send, go "options", "send", "by Bluetooth"/"by "infrared".

Or get a card reader so u can plug in ur mmc and gather the pictures or upload wallpapers in an instant. Dont expect crisp pictures from the 3660 although in good lighting conditions it quite ok, in my personal experience nokias camera is still the best among presently available camera phones. Try looking at my gallery all of which are taken using a Nokia 3660. Try comparing them with some pics from other phones if ur lucky enough to encounter one. Cheers 😃
Don't really count on the video camera. You can only record 10 (sometimes 12) seconds. The quality really sucks on the video. However it is a nice novelty item. I'd say the 3660 is well worth the money. It would be nice if it had stereo sound.
Well,
If you take care of the price, then the option goes to the 3660.
There are one thing I learned sometime ago and it says:
Always is better to have a device dedicated to a major function.
Of course, money rules, but having everything in one single device means you are missing the real potential of each one of them separated.
You can count with 3660 video camera, but don't expect the same as a DV camera.
Voice recorder it's okay but don't aim to get fresh 128kb CD quality sounds.
It's a good option. I suggest
