Mac Os X Aqua - Classic Skin With Screensaver / Flip Graphics / Expose!

While I believe that the Mac OS X UI is one of the best ever designed, I hate the idea of almost completely copying a theme to a different device. It sometimes doesn't make sense such as

  • calling it "Mac OS X Symbian" (Mac OS X is not running on that device)
  • displaying an Apple-Menu
  • using icons that are totally irrelevant ("Home" icon for "MMS", "Console" icon for "Tasks", "Disk Tools" for "Bluetooth"(?!?), "Install" for "Infrared" etc.)
  • titling the "about" box "About this Mac".

Instead the creators should have used UI elements (text fields, combo boxes, scroll bars, check and radio boxes etc.) only to enhance a UI. A $5.00 waste!
