themestudio isn't a very userfriendly software... so i would appreciate if anyone can point to a tutorial of it...
damn... i don't even know what dimensions a pic should have to make a theme out of it and how to call an image into the theme studio!!! 😃
The Series 60 Theme Studio Artist's Guide that is available with/for it on Forum Nokia (http://forum.nokia.com) is reasonably good in explaining things.
And from within it, when you open a segment you want to edit, the actual bitmap painter you use should, if it is any decent (I use Paint Shop Pro 7.04 myself), tell you what size of an image is in question for that particular part.
thanks n/a for the reply man! i appreciate that... yeah the artist's guide is a good quickstart but it aint that detailed ya know~! i use adobe photoshop 7... but when i click on a segment... it tells me nothin :frown: so i am kinda stuck!
i have tried workin' with a 176x208 picture that i edited usin photoshop... but i cant even call it in the themestudio...
thanks once again n i hope that u can help me somemore!!!! :icon14:
If you click on 'Browser' at the right of the screen you will be able to open the folders where your images are from here.
If you click on 'components' it will bring up all the default and images you have used in the past. If you click once on one of these images the size will be displayed with the preview in the bottom right of the screen.
176x208=idle screen
176x44=top screen area (goes from the top to the bottom of the day/date)
176x144=wallpaper
176x20=control area (bottom shortcut slice)
51x56=clock ( the centre is 25x25 so you can allign with clock hands)
12x29=signal/batt
176x185=pinboard (Go to)
These are just the main areas.
