sorry if this has been done already, but last night i fgured out how to get my ir going. Ive got an A925, and the ir never worked. open up Qfile, go to
z\system\apps\irsendlisten
and run irsendlisten.app
the screen will go blue tinged and pretty much not do anything, but if you press the aplications box thing in the top right to exit, your ir should work. I printed a photo direct to a hp 990 with an ir port, was quite shocked it was that simple.
hope this works for other people.
