Intuwave have made available a beta version of mRouter 3 the software used to connect many Symbian smartphones to PC's. Improvments include tighter integration with Bluetooth, improved ease of use (including set up wizards, setting of preffered devices and more). There are also several technical improvement relating to developers, security and support for Symbian OS 8.0.

Information from the authors:

You can use m-Router 3 Developer Edition to provide IP-connectivity to your Symbian OS Emulator and improve the connectivity between your Symbian OS Smartphone and PC. m-Router 3 extends the existing Bluetooth, IR, USB and serial cable connectivity options between your Symbian OS Smartphone and your PC with:

Simple connectivity for your Symbian Emulator to help develop Symbian OS-based networked applications;
Simplified connectivity over Bluetooth to your Symbian OS Smartphone; and
Improved user interface and developer debugging.

Interesting product indeed, but statements like these do not lend any credibility:

"Fully backwards compatible with all previous versions (Symbian OS 6.1, 7.0 and 7.0s)"

So what about v6.0 and earlier? In particular the 9200 series is in use by many enterprises.

No idea. The original post is from 3 years ago. I don't even know if Intuwave operates as a company any longer (I think someone bought it some time ago, if my memory serves me right; I'm too lazy to search for it).
