Hi everyone!
I usually share my PC internet connection with my n-gage, and everything goes well inside my bedroom, but if i go out, almost immediatly i lose connection. (even though i have a 100m distance bluetooth adapter.. i really dont get it.. :frown: )
At this point, the only way i can reconnect is by go to my PC and manualy connect the device... 😡
Well, the question is:
Is there a way to reconnect automatically every time i'm in range again??
... at least it should be like those bluetooth ear pieces, that have a button to reconnect.. :?

I m new to this forum n this is my first post ... so Aloha to all ..
I use 6600 and hav a bluetooth dongle class 1 - 100mtr range .
I face the same problem when I connect my cell to PC using Remote S60 . But the good thing is , when i come back in the reach of dongle , it reconnects automatically .
So i think the reconnection is s/w dependent . Means the software shd contiously chk its connection n try to reconnect on failure .
I hav a question to u , u said u share ur net connection with ur cell . How do u do it . wat software do u use .
Can u actuallt browse the web through ur cell ?????

Hi Adi!
First of all, welcome to the forum 😊
U asked me about the internet connection, well, there some threads in this forum about that subject, therefore i'm going to simplify the procedure:
1) Install the Bluetooth Adapter software in you computer.
2) Install Nokia PC Suite in your computer.
3) Create a new access point
4) Connect the Serial Port
Just try it as i showed u, but if u have problems connecting, please read some others threads about ur Nokia 6600.
After all this, I still dont know how to auto reconnect bluetooth... lol

Thanx a lot for the reply ... but i do know how to establish a serial connection with my 6600 n PC .... I want to know , how to browse internet website on cell .... Like openin www.yahoo.com on celll using bluetooh ..n using my broadband net ...

That is all you need to know!! if you have establish a serial connection with u're 6600, so you r ready to browse web, irc, game arena, etc...
The pictures i showed u, are not just how to establish a serial connection, but olso how to create a Access Point in your phone. It's just a way to "fool" ur phone to think that u r browsing web through GPRS, but in fact u r browsing through ur PC internet connection.
Quite simple i must say... 😊 just follow the print screens i posted.

sorry dude that does not work the phone tries to connect grps dialout
gnubox needed and other settings works on ver 3 and ver4 softare not on ver5 nokia6600.
