A few days ago I realized that here in Brazil an operator called "Claro" was providing SMS over GPRS without billing for it.. I discovered that just trying this configuration after I had seen my girl's phone bill .. It was just too expensive..
I want to know if other operators all over the world provides this service and if they bill for it.. 😃
Many do allow you to use GPRS for the SMS transport, but in general they also do know how to bill for them.
Perhaps "Claro" just doesn't know how to operate their SMSC and billing system properly?
People seem to be really mad at "Claro Digital"..
After they discovered they were offering SMS over GPRS for free, they disabled the service and continue using just SMS over GSM..
People are saying this is a bad behavior of the company and a large group is thinking of searching for another provider ..
