message will not delete

Hello all,

I hope somebody can help me. I have a 6600 and I sent a multimedia message, but before it sent I tried to delete it as I was sending it to the wrong number.

Now the message is sitting in the out box with "Deferred" under the message.

I have tried to delete the message with no luck, I have tried to copy the message to drafts agiain no luck.

Anybody have any ideas? I went to a mobile shop today and they could not delete it either.

I have switched the phone on/off still no joy.

Its not a big problem, just annoying as I now have a message sending ikon on the main page.

Regards

PS thanks in advance

Search C: or D: system/mail folders for the file using a file explorer and delete it (with all the attached files, images etc).

If the icon is still there after that, lower your mms validity time to one hour, and it will soon be gone,menu/messaging/options/settings/multimedia/message validity.

Fexplorer is FREE in the shop above.

Hello Elton,

Thankyou for the tip, I deleated all the folders (00001001-s) etc and some folders that contained folders 1 to 9 and A to F and now your going to tell me "NO NOT THEM" well now the message is still there and I can not send a multimedia message.

OK so now is it possible to restore basic message applications as it looks like I have possibly deleted the multimedia texting application by doing the above.
If I try and options multimedia message setting I get nothing. Which means I can not change the validity time in settings.

Help . .

Is it possible to reinstall from CD?

regards

Lol,

I meant the folder contents, not the actual folders.

The only thing you can do now is format the phone and then all should be replaced.

😊
