What phone are you talking about?The only two Symbian Series 60 phones that alow updating from home are the Siemens SX1 and the Sendo X.Updating is covered in the manual.
I will buy Nokia 6630. I was asking myself if it was possible becouse someone told me that in nokia centers is possible to do it but tis operation is so much expensive
Nokia Centers do it for free if your phone is under warranty.

Or only a few minutes, if they've time to do it immediately and there's no queue of other phones to flash before yours. 😉
