PROBLEM: Nokia 7650 vs. IBM Thinkpad A30p

Hi Guys,

i got a "small" problem with Bluetooth connection between my A30p and the Nokia 7650.

When trying to connect serial port from the A30p to the 7650 the A30p reports that the remote device shut down the connection every time.

Anyone out there with help?

OS WinXP
IBM BCD GR20 (latest firmware)
7650 FW 3.16

Security settings Tried all different settings on BT security both on 7650 and A30p.

Other Bluetooth devices has no problems in talking to the A30p - and my IPAQ can use the 7650 serial port.... ;-( (My T68i works perfectly)

Are you sending pictures/photos through the send via bluetooth command or are you trying to connect to nokia suite. Nokia suite seems to be a little erratic with XP and terminates the connection every now and then. That may be the problem.

I'm connecting my T30 IBM with Nokia Suite through Infra-Red ... luckily I have no problem .... But why using serial port if you can used Infra Red? 😉 😃

ha ha...

bluetooth connection does not work for anything between the 7650 and the thinkpad.. Remote refused connection (nokia beeing the remote part) or "error sending picture" - Thinkpad the remote part.

It is FIRST time i've had problems with my A30p bluetooth - and everything else connected to the thinkpad works as advertised *G*

Just spoke to nokia support.

All I got was a "get out of our phone"

quote "we dont support Windows XP and we don't support other bluetooth adaptors than nokias own... "Well Ericsson give me a P800 please... At least the software and bluetooth works on all my other Ericssons.
