Cant Download Java Games In Nokia 6600

I CANT DOWNLOAD JAVA GAMES FOR NOKIA 6600. WHENEVER I TRY TO DOWNLOAD JAVA GAMES IT SAYS: UNABLE TO PLAY MEDIA CLIP. PLEASE HELP. THANKS :con?

Download from where (URL, please)? Sounds like where ever you're trying to download from is either sending something else than a Java game, or there's an error in the way it sends MIME headers, or the .jad file is pointing to the wrong place.

If you get the nokia suite that came with the phone or download it from the nokia site you can install java games from there :icon14:

Is it possible that the file extension *. jar was associated with realplayer? If it is then would it be possible to correct that wrong file association?

Yes, please help for me too! I guess I could transfer the whole bunch of files within a zip file, and extract it (if I have to), but how to install because it says for .jar and .jad files (says corrupt installation, or something). PLEASE! Thx.

You dont have to extract jad and jar files just transfer the two files to your phone and the phone will do the extracting for you when u play the game.

Yes. In Windows you can do it with Explorer (Tools -> Folder Options... -> File Types -> select type -> Advanced -> Edit) or the commands ASSOC and FTYPE.

No in the phone. Cause his phone opens jad files in real player.

Yes, I did. Transfered the two files opened up the sms message and it says installation error or something. Install function isn't available from pc suite for nokia 6600 so I tried to install pc suite 6.3 but at install software page it says "no supported communication device", and when I open the device properties, my phone cannot be selected (but it's there). I think this (installation from pc) could work but why my phone is in "not supported" state (only for installation, it seems everything else is ok.

And what about other games with lots of files (.cor, class, etc)? How could I install them?

Thanks for the help in advance.

Ok...

Now I undertand. Jar/Jad files are basically zip files (didn't know that). If I transfer them to the mobile it could be installed automatically just as sis files (didn't know that either). First time when I tried to install a little game I had to install both a jar and a jad file. So I transferred them to the mobile... And then installation error occured. That was the reason why I thought jar and jad files are not just simle click and install files!

I still wondering why I couldn't install that game. If a software asking you to install simultaneous files (e.g. 1jar+1jad) what is the order (if an installation didn't state the preferred order)? Thanks...
