Opera (makers of one of the best browsers for Symbian OS) have posted an operating income of 23.2 million Kroner for this quarter (announces the Opera website). Growth is over 40% - let's see where they go in the next year!
Opera post impressive Q2 Financial Results
Since this was posted on the front page it's appropriate to make a couple of corrections:
Opera's operating income in Q204 was MNOK 23.2. Net operating result before tax was MNOK 2.3, while accumulated operating result before tax for the first half of 2004 was MNOK -0.1.
The second quarter also included an extraordinary income of MNOK 87.6 received in a legal settlement. This is not part of ordinary operating income.
And most importantly, IMNSHO, Opera is "the best" browser for Symbian, not just "one of the best" 😉 😃

Thanks for fixing the numbers (and wondering if AAS got the Email PR with these numbers). As to "the best" browser then I'd have to point out that (a) you do have a vested interest and (b) once we see the mess/success that a Mobile Mozilla/Firefox arrives, then the mobile browser war starts to look interesting.

I think Opera is best right now and I suspect it'll stay that way. Their mobile browser is arguably one of their main project not just an offshoot.
