I got an idea - why not to make a program that would allowe one to use his Symbian mobile phone as a remote control.
I already made all the graphics, but I do not know anything about Symbian programmin. Yet I assume writing the code for it would not take too long.
If you know programming and would like to participate 50/50 in this project ( that could later be put up at handango.com ), please let me know.

Of course there can be as many similar type of apps as you like (there are probably tens, if not hundreds of thousands of text editors written for computers, too, for example).
Alternatively you can probably work it out with Psiloc to use your interface with their app & spend your time doing something else instead (especially since it doesn't seem to be easy to get this type of an app working reliably and over any reasonable distances with the phone's infrared port, which hasn't originally been designed to drive TVs, etc., in the first place).
