Hello

I have had my n-gage (original) for some time, the other day i was listening to some MP3's and when i finnished i removed the headphones. later on i go to use my phone and find that the buttons no longer beep, and when i look in the corner the headphone symbol is still showing although the headphones are no longer connected. i have tried removing the battery restarting the phone plugging and unplugging the headphones but nothing seems to work, as a result i cant hear when text's come in, or when the phone is ringing because the phone still thinks the headphones are plugged in and so is putting all the sound to that socket.

Has anyone had this problem? or can anyone please tell me how to fix this.

Many thanks

Did you try switching profiles?

Yes i have tried switching profiles but that didnt work.

Shortley after posting the message, i tried blowing compressed air into the headphone socket and it cleared the symbol off the screen.

So if anyone has this problem try blowing into the socket, or if you have access to it a can of compressed air.

Thanks to Fish for responding though.
