Anyone got reasonable quality AMRs?

I like to have my favourite music on my phone, with memory rapidly running out WAVs just arn't viable anymore, so i got hold of an AMR encoder. The problem is that the music that comes out is very choppy, with lots of stutters and pauses in it. Has anyone got a decent quality AMR of some music? Could you tell me how?

Hmm, I downloaded the AMR codec for WMP and they play fine in there, maybe they are too compressed for the phone (need too much processing power to decode). Is there an optimal compression rate for the 7650?!?

Hi,just wanna know where you got the codecs from for wmp? Any links for me to download it from? I did installed .amr software from voiceAge.A codec to play .amr files on the PC but after installing, wmp does not recognised the file type. How do I go about doing this...? Am I doing something wrong...?

Cheers,
Jay

for what i've heard u cannot do that anymore, send ringtones to friends, midi files at that, it's a copyright issue. i believe the only phone that can do that is the 3310 and the system was questioned. i believe after this unit (3310) nokia has stopped developing phones that can send ringtones. u can send amr because u created that as well as if u compose your own ringtone using the composer in the phone. hope i made sense, brah...
