I cant get mine workin n i'm sure i've got the settings correct, could it be that my phone isn't data enabled or something n would it be worth takin it to the shop i got it from t see if they could help me

Hard to say what's wrong, because "cant get mine workin" isn't a very good description of your problem.

First thing to check: You must have GPRS Internet Access Point (IAP) settings from your operator/carrier.

Second thing to check: You must have a subscription/plan from your operator that allows you to use the GPRS IAP.

Third thing to check: Your email settings.

If you want more help, you have to be more specific of what your settings are, what exactly you try and, most importantly, what exactly is happening (including any and all error messages displayed).

Well.. my gprs is all up n running cos i'm on here with it! Secondly i've run throug settings with many people around here and so i really cant see how i can have them wrong. But wen i go to connect to my mailbox it will connect for ages then come up asking for my username n password, which i can guarantee are correct, n this will come up three times all in all before it will finally come up with error

Well, email works, if the settings are correct (and it works on my phone, even if it isn't any consolation to you, I imagine), and if the server behaves correctly.

If it doesn't work for you, the error is in the settings you have, or a server-side problem.

Anyway, how about, if you:

- Say what is your operator/carrier (and in which country)?
- List the settings of your GPRS Internet Access Point
- Call your operator and make sure you have the right to use the GPRS IAP
- List the settings of your POP3 or IMAP4 account (don't post your actual username & password, though)

Make also sure that the outgoing (SMTP) server defined is your operator's SMTP server, and not your email service providers (unless they're the one and the same).

If you have Opera on your phone, you can also verify that the GPRS IAP is correct by using Opera; if Opera works with that access point selected, it should work for email, too.

If all the settings are, indeed, correct, then verify with your email service provider that the email server is really accessible from anywhere on the Internet (i.e., that it doesn't, e.g., require the use of VPN, Virtual Private Networking, software).

Other than that, I don't know how to help you.
