sending .mid / .sis from 6600 is possible

You can send "protected" file types from the 6600 to your pc using Epocware PC File Manager.
Alternatively you can change the extension, to send them to another phone.

There is a limitation to this, but I haven't pinpointed exactly what it is yet! In my Sounds directory (on the memory card), I have a directory "More Midi", which contains approx 200 files (ok so I'm a ringtone nut!), which contains subdirectories. If I try to bluetooth a file from within one of the subdirectories it ignores it like a normal protected file, even after changing the extension.

I've tried recreating this error with other files to find what the exact limit is, but with no success.

Has anyone else experienced this or is it just me?

I found this with midi, amr/amb, sis e jar files ..
Renaming will not prevent..
Their location is not what matters ..

This is a pain in the ass...
Something for people that does not use pc suite to waste with operators ringtones...

Until now I did not discovered how symbian recognize file types ...

I can rename .mid files which aren't buried in the directory as described, then bluetooth them, and not MMS as before..

The strange thing is, even if I move one of the buried .mid files to somewhere I can normally rename and bluetooth from, it still wont work..
