Hello everyone!
I've got a bit of a problem with my phone.. it occurred after a detail was deleted from a name in my contact list (i dont know if this caused it - but it happened after this event occurred).
basically... i looked at my phone an hour or 2 after that, and i noticed all my messages, sent messages, drafts, had all disappeared!! 😮 WTF??
...and.. my contact list is...unusable. the names are all there.. but nothing works.. i cant go into a contact, i cant send messages as the contact list doesnt work, and i cant phone people as i cant get into any of the names on my contact list!!! :frown: :frown:
Anyone got any ideas???

It might be that the Memory changed from MMC to default memory. That happens sometimes if you took out the mmc then turned the phone on, sometimes it happens out of nowhere. Your memory must have switched. Check it first.
Messages-settings-others-memory in use.
You should always have a back up of your phone. I hope that serves as a lesson to learn from. 😉

Just checked that; no luck 😞
still doesnt explain the main problem - my contacts list not working! Also noticed the 'options' key doesnt do anything in the contacts list. 😞

Sounds like a full format to me. If that doesnt work its a sure trip to a Nokia Center.
i suggest u do a full phone format then taking it to nokia service center, the method is turn off the phone. then press green dial key+3 digit+star*key and while the keys are kept press turn on the phone and release the keys wen formatting... appears. enjoy

i have Nokia 6600 AP set... my phone is can't open menu Bluetooth... so i decided send it Nokia Priority shop.... at the shop he said this phone must reformat and install new ORIGANAL software... then i say ok... after 3-4 hour later the engineer call me back... he said my phone is dying... he cannot install new software... after 50-60% installing... get error...i don't know what message appear... but he said it's can't install.... anybody can help me what should i do... pleaaaaaase..... :~(

The Nokia shop should have or send it to be repaired (possibly under warranty depending on what the problem is).

As i mention..my set is AP set...so no warranty for nokia PRIORITY shop...as i buy as 2nd hand set...
today i go to the shop and he said my mmc have virus and spred to my memory phone... so he format my mmc card(they caj usd$7) reinstall my phone software(they caj usd&21++)... result? i get a faulty phone... 😞 cannot open anymore :`(, their try 5-6 installation...but same result.. after 50-60% installation... system error message came out...
they don't know how to fix it... as they don't give me any warranty... they give me back a faulty phone...and i give him 28 buck... 😞 i think they only know reformat back software or updated firmware..after do this.. handphone still have a problem... they send to HQ to exchange...technical problem they cannot handle.... this is they call Profesional? after this i don't trust Genuine service from nokia anymore...
