Smartmovie - No Sound Using FFMPEGx ?

Hello,

I am currently using FFMPEGX on my mac to encode videos to .avi (using the xVid codec for smartmovie), I have also installed the .sis codec on my phone.

I had some small issues trying to get the correct picture size to play on my 6600, but for some reason now I have no sound.

I have tried most of the various sound options on FFMPEG, and the sound on Smartmovie is def working as the demo files play with sound ?

Could anyone help with this isssue ?

Also, does anyone have a list of the best setting to play back videos on the 6600 ?

No help ? anyone 😞 !!!

I did a bit of reading around in the internet yesterday and I found a site where this guy was saying you need to use quicktime pro to export the sound to an MP3, then when you encode the video using FFMPEG you then load that MP3 into it that way.

However I dont have quicktime pro, so does anyone know of a mac program to rip the sound from a .mov/.avi etc.. to MP3 ?

Don�t use the XviD codec, the sound wount work then, use the DivX Codec, recommended values is video-bitrate: 120kbps and sound: 32kbps, 64 if it�s musicvideos and such, the correct pictutre size is: 208x176

Hey,

Thanks for the info, is the DivX codec already in the FFMPEG program ? Will smartmovie play this type of video ?

Can FFMPEG convert to MPEG4, pretty sure I looked and that wasnt there ?
