Nokia 3650 Turns itself off

I have had 3 nokia 3650's in the past 6 months and a 4th is on the way as of 8/30/04. All have the same turn off problem. It's not the battery.

It happens without any notice - anytime, anywhere: shelf, on/off the charager, night/day - NEVER while on a conversation. No reoccuring pattern toatally random. I have seen same issue posted around the internet.

Phone is totally stock: I have not added any aftermarket software. I think I have latest firmware. My location is California, USA and provider is T-Mobile. I am surprised that this is little know and talked about even on this forum. I take very good care of each phone, the battery cover is on tight so all the know brainer's are ruled out. Also, after starting up from a turn off the phone will often turnon fail to start an hang in a zombie mode.

Nokia and tmobile all deny an knowledge of this being a "known" problem. AT&T and other providers stopped carrying Nokia 3650.

This is definitely my last nokia phone ever unless nokia acknowledges the problem. I am still under the 1 yr warranty but all I get is someone elses phone with the same exact problem. I believe they should be class-action suited.

Any help or info would be appreciated. I like the phone otherwise and fully use the bluetooth.

Thanks

I have the exact same problem. Piece of shit Nokia, and piece of shit Nokia 3650 phone!!

Have you found any way of getting it out of this "zombie"-mode? It just happened to me first time now, and I can't get it out of "zombie"-mode; with the result that I'm stuck with a completely useless phone.

Should have smelled this coming when I first laid my eyes on the round keyboard... 😊
