When i play the truetone of amr. format, the sound will pause for one second den continue again. But when i play truetone of wav.format or mpeg. format, the sound is very nice and does not pause. Its strange that my bro using 3650 can play amr. sound clips without any pause in the tone. Izzit that 7610 does not support amr. files? Anyone of u encounter this problem?
Actually i like amr. sound clips better as their kbs are smaller where else the wav. and mpeg sound clips are much more larger. So i'm thinking that anyone can help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance...

am facing the same prob too. but the strange thing is that this problem wont arise when i play the sound files recorded by the mobile. i converted my mp3 songs to .amr files to save space n when i played them in my mobile, it started pausing after every 6 seconds. does anybody have a solution to this ???

I've the same problem too!! I hope nokia make a new software release! There's anyone know if nokia make a new software upgrade???

To how many people u have ask abt this that u have said that nobody facing it except 2 of us.
have you tried re-encoding them in mono before you convert to .amr?
i had same problem with mp3, small pause every 5 or so seconds, converted to mono, and bingo, smaller file, played perfectly.
Worth a try.

you know - i just convert everything to aac - they sound 10 times better than amr files (just like ogg files) - they are small files and sound excellent - try that - you wont go back 😊

the program i use is called easy cdda by poikosoft - its just a combination audio ripper / copier / converter program - that way you can convert from wav, ogg, mp3, etc to acc - you really just have to find any program that converts to acc
i dont know of any off hand that convert amr to aac but youll be able to make your own true-tone ringtones out of wavs or mp3s...
