How long does YOUR N-gage battery last?

I bought my phone used a couple weeks ago. And have been learning the in's and out's since then. Some info here, some over there, and some reinstalling of software. 😉

Aside from the scratch on the screen (that I hope to "fix" by buying two replacement faceplates on eBay), the phone works very well. And I was VERY happy when I ordered my 512MB MMC and have had ZERO problems with it. So I don't plan on updating firmware at this point, since mine seems fine.

My only problem is battery life. Now maybe mine is down because I bought a used phone with used batteries. But I got 2 from the previous owner, and I can't seem to get more than 3 hours out of the phone while gaming or playing music. I see a couple of possible problems.

1) These batteries aren't new, so maybe a new one is in order.

2) Maybe my larger MMC drains more power than smaller ones?

3) The N-gage simply doesn't have a high capacity battery, so it doesn't last as long as the specs indicate.

If the answer is #3, then I'm glad I haven't activated phone service for the n-gage yet, because this just isn't gonna work. I went ahead and ordered a desktop charger today, that won't arrive from overseas for at least a week. But when it does, at least I can charge one battery while using another. Or even charge BOTH batteries at the same time.

Any assistance is appreciated. I like the features, but the batteries life is like the center of cherries. Just the pits! 😉

My battery runs out really quicky too.

I have to charge it every other night, and thats just without me using it.
If I use it for phonecalls, or music, even if I dont use it much, I still have to charge it every day....

I think its stupid they made such a good device, and then gave it such a crap battery to go with it....
