6600 error

9 replies · 3,014 views · Started 28 August 2004

One day, out of the clear Bule Skies, my phone sitting quietly on the desk, rebooted by itself. This is the last day I would see it working correctly.

After it rebooted, it started up and then returned the following error while booting:

App. closed:
MsvServer

Below it, is an "ok" Button. I pressed it - the phone rebooted again -- and then I would get this error again. There is no other way I know to get to the phone.

I tried the basics: turning it on and off manually, removing and replacing the battery, charging -- nothing works. I'm very pissed -- can anyone help?

yeah dear friend i had the same prob. too but dont worry there is a simple solution..... FORMAT!!!!!!!!
and the method is
turn off ur phone
press the green dial key, the *key and the digit 3 key together and turn ur phone on while the keys are pressed and wait till the phone's screen displays formatting... andthe data on ur phone wud be erased but not on mmc.

enjoy.........

there's no need to format ,
i believe that you have screen saver installed inside your phone ,
uninstall it and this will solve your problem .

That error message is due to the screen saver installed , the phone can be switch on i believe.

Have you tried to use 'safe mode boot' ? Try to boot up your phone with pressing only the key button.

I had similar problem with two N-Gages, and then i returned both N-Gages to store, and bought 3660. Currently i am using 6600 and it works like dream! 😊

If the 'safe mode boot' won't work, you'll have to take your phone to Nokia service.

Right Way
