Does anyone know if there is going to be a 1GB RS-MMC available soon, or is 512MB the largest size possible for this smaller format.
I don't know why Nokia went for the RS-MMC for the 7610, I really can't see the benefits over normal MMC as there is clearly space in the phone for one if they rearranged some stuff a bit.
Would an adapter be possible, similar to the dual sim type adapter with a ribbon cable? Would it even be possible to get a dual mmc adapter?
I bought a ATP 512MB RS-MMC. Compatible, and very reliable
I presume there will be a 1GB RS-MMC. Just a matter of time and money.
RS-MMC is smaller. That's the concept. Smaller in size, but capacity still the same
The point of rs-mmc? To make more money of course! A rs-mmc is twice expensive as a mmc. I hate nokia for doing that.

But nokia are not selling the RS-MMC themselves directly, and it could only have been more expensive for themselves to have to include a RS-MMC in the box with the phone?!
I was shocked when I went to Nokia about a different matter and I was told they don't sell RS MMCs! How stupid is that?
I know someone with a 1GB rs-mmc. Dunno where he got it from though I am afraid. Will update this if I find out. But they are out there somewhere ...
They all work together if you ask me. I wouldnt be surprised if nokia was payed to impletment the rs-mmc by the companies that made the smaller format card.
The regular card is so small already, that people would be waiting in line for the even smaller format. So what do you do then?? Force people to buy the cards by implementing em in popular devices. Sadfully, it's all about marketing .......
