6600 MMS Major problem

Please somebody help me i am at a wits end with my MMS on my 6600 :con?
My MMS used to work fine now its gone mental, If i try and send an mms the normal way by going Messaging>New Message>Create Message> When i press Multimedia Message the phone doesnt give me the multimedia message page to put numbers or attachments on it just returns straight to the New Message screen. :icon13: I also cannot recieve MMS

I have tried downloading the settings again from the Vodafone and Nokia websites both have been recieved and set as default and the problem is still the same my internet,sms email and bluetooth all work fine its just MMS that is knackered, I have done a phone reset and still the same problem.

I have only installed ETI Camcorder, Autolock, FE Explorer and Psiloc Screensaver applications on my phone, i had heard that ETI can mess up your MMS but i have also installed it on 3 other peoples phones and their MMS is fine and their all on vodafone like me and 2 have the same firmware version. I did delete opera browser from my memory card could this have done it ????

My firmware is v 4.09.1 and i am on vodafone uk

Something has messed up your phone; good candidates are either an installed & buggy program, or manual explorations with FExplorer. 😉 Of course, there could/should be better system protection features for things like that, but...

Anyway, a bit drastic (so synch your contacts with your PC, do backups, use tools like MessageSaver, etc.), but if you reformat the device, it'll probably work again.

Also, there is a 5.27.something firmware release out for the 6600. Your nearest Nokia authorized service center should have it.

Thanks alot ive done that and its started working again :icon14: i had tried to reformat before but i only did a "soft reformat" so as not to lose any files contacts or anything and it never worked a complete reformat was all that was needed

Are firmware upgrades free at service centres ?

Firmware updates are at least free when you have an issue with the version on your phone, which the newer releases fixes.

Hi.
i cant create mms message, cant view mss settings page on nokia 6600. Also i cant view service commands page too. These problems started after i deleted some files using the epocware's "handy file" software.

Can u pls help me? What did u do exactly to make mms work again? Can u pls mail me.
