6600 dial up madness

2 replies · 2,746 views · Started 02 September 2004

Hello all,
Just bought a 6600 for using with my laptop IBM R31 running XP sp1, i'm using a Belkin F8T001 usb bluetooth dongle, I gave up completely with nokia modem options and pc suite as i cant get either to work at all, and these barely worked on IR. Just using the belkin software (phone shows as bluetooth modem in control panel phone and modem options), the pc and phone paired ok and can see each other i think but when i try to initiate a dial up connection i can see the phone dialing the number but it instantly hangs up/disconnects. this is driving me up the wall as this was the main reason for buying in the first place.

Thx

Jol

Make sure the Belkin uses WidComm 1.4.* drivers

Or you could try uninstalling all drivers you got from Belkin and then install Windows XP SP2.

I use a Belkin F8T003 like that; with SP2 Bluetooth drivers, but I do that with a 7610 (not a 6600).

I have changed to SP2 and loaded the latest drivers from belkin . v2 but to no avail. the phone phone dials the connection but disconnects the instant it does.
