Install to E: does not work

Please help, Ive got my Sendo X yesterday and Im quite sad because there are same faults. The biggest two troubles are:

(1)

Cannot install on E: - when I install programs with the PC-Software the programs will be installed on E:, indeed - but no icons for starting appears in any folder!

The second way (should work, according to the manual) was to transfer the SIS to the phone or the SD-card and to start the installation directly on the phone (supposed with the program-manager). But the manager dont show any SIS, only the installed programs.

How do you install software on E: ?

I want do transfer my contacts data with IR (with the program contact-transfer from SX1 to Psion. From there with IR-Obex to Sendo). But Sendo complete hangs up, when starting the data transfer. Only replacing the battery helps. Sending the same way is working fine.

Hope you have some hints.

I've seen something similar as well, but i found that once i rebooted the phone the icons appeared. I've also seen that just removing the card and reinserting it aso cures it.

I transferred all my contacts (about 600) by syncing with Outlook.

The process worked flawlessly and was very quick - about 1.5 minutes.

I know this won't help if you haven't synchronised your SX1 with a PC but if you have it's definitely the best way to get your info onto your X.

Yes, right. I was wondering, because suddenly a icon appears, after I/O - but this is not the right way and some icons never comes :frown:

BTW: How can I suppress the sound by switchin ON (also off or connecting with the cable). The option "Warning sounds" is off.

Yes - stopped the experiements with Psion. I was loading the contact dat with the IR from a Laptop.

Thanks for your comments

Menu app is scanning phone after install for new instaled apps and adds them to list, but sometimes it did not find it ... restart Menu app (close it form AppMan and start it again) or restart phone.

Realy great program for transfering and backuping contacts is Agora Contacts Manager. It will also transfer/backup images, groups, ... all settings for contacts.
