PC Suite 6.3 Can't Install — Nokia 7610 and 6670 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

I had PC Suite 6.1 installed on my system, but had no luck browsing with the usb cable, reading here I downloaded 6.3 & tried to install, but I keep getting the error, Nokia Multimedia Player is installed, this needs to be uninstalled first & then the installation ends.

I can't remove Multimedia Player via Add/Remove, it just stops half way through.

I've done a search for all files containing nokia multimedia & deleted them but still no luck.

Anyone know of a hidden file or a way to get this older version deleted.

Just a quick update, rolled back my PC to June 04 via Ghost but still can't install PC Suite 6.3 due to multimedia player not uninstalling.
Is there much benefit to 6.3 over 6.1, which I have working bar one or two problems, see my other posts??? 🙄

So nokia has a new pc suite. Why can't they make their textmessage program compatible with the 7610?

6.3 phone connections are more stable than 6.1

My mate got his 7610 working with his DKU-2 by using v6.3 rather than 6.1
