I have a Nokia 6600 with a 128mb-MMC..
I have tried playing mp3s with a couple of different programs and have noticed that when I plug in my stereo hands-free-set from nokia, that the volume is being reduced.. the bass gets reduced even more.
so you can imagine, that the sound is not the same as from an ordinary mp3player..
does anyone know a program, that manualy turns off this effect?

I was having a similar problem and the i followed a link from this site to OGGplayer its way better than MP3. Its free, the files take up less space and it sounds great. Can't remember the web address of hand. Google OGGVorbis..
